Its always amazing when I see young people doing extraordinary things. This is no different.  A Florida teenager just passed the Bar Exam in the U.K. giving her the opportunity to practice law in there.  No doubt Gabrielle Turnquest studied hard, stayed in class and read up on as much about law as she could to pass this extremely difficult exam.  I’m sure it wasn’t easy, and she probably had a ton of support from her family.  What interesting about this story is that she didn’t even know she was the youngest person ever when she passed the bar which I like because it says she focused on personal excellence instead of the status of being the youngest this or the youngest that.  I encourage the young brothers to focus and refocus on your studies.  There is far more potential in you than just sports and music. Find out what other things you are good at and research whether what you want to do is a realistic and lucrative goal. Don’t just settle for the typical career goal that society expects you to pursue, i.e. playing basketball or hip hop.

Gabrielle Turnquest started out extremely young, which is a huge advantage for her.  I encourage you to do the same.  Don’t waste time refusing to study and to learn as much as you can about the world around you.  If one child can achieve at such a young age, so can you.
